George Foulgham Soundscapes and post supervisors Flying Fox have completed audio post-production on If These Walls Could Sing, due for release on Disney+ on 16th December 2022.

The Disney+ Original documentary, directed by Mary McCartney, explores the history, characters and recording artists of the iconic Abbey Road Studios. In amongst the rare archives are The Beatles, Jacqueline Du Pré and Pink Floyd.

George Foulgham Soundscapes accepted the challenge to re-mix and enhance some of the original studio tapes to interweave fascinating stories from a host of Abbey Road devotees, including Paul McCartney, Elton John, the Gallagher Brothers and many more Abbey Road alumni.

If These Walls Could Sing is an account of 91 years of the world’s first purpose-built recording studio. From recording the greats of classical music to hosting dance hall and big band stars, witnessing the birth of British rock & roll, producing a prolific string of hits in the 1960s, facilitating Oscar-winning film scores and seeing the rise of hip-hop. Mary McCartney’s film brings to life the music of no. 3 Abbey Road.

Founder and Re-Recording mixer George Foulgham says, “It was a great privilege to have worked on this fascinating documentary and going to Abbey Road Studios for the final mix was a particularly special moment.“

2022 has been a standout year for GFS, with feature documentaries that premiered at SXSW, Venice, Telluride, IDFA and LFF, then went on to be picked up by broadcasters and distributors including Sky, National Geographic and Dogwoof. GFS also completed the full audio post on the leading Netflix series FIFA Uncovered.
