ITV Head of Comedy Entertainment Peter Davey is to leave the broadcaster after six years in production and commissioning roles.

Director of Television Kevin Lygo is restructuring entertainment commissioning at the network with Siobhan Greene heading a single team for entertainment commissioning.

Greene, who currently has responsibility for ITV’s big entertainment formats, such as Britain’s Got Talent and The X Factor, will now take on the full range of existing and new entertainment shows, as well as comedy and live entertainment events. She will head the team which will be the primary point of contact for entertainment commissions at ITV.

Davey said: “I have thoroughly enjoyed the last 18 months at ITV. Having secured a BAFTA, two Golden Rose nominations and the highest rating new entertainment show on ITV since 2013 – with nearly 6 million viewers for The Keith and Paddy Picture show – I’ve decided to move on. In the immediate future I will be spending some time with my kids and dogs, though not necessarily in that order. After that I will be exploring new opportunities.”

Lygo said: “I’d like to thank Peter for all his hard work leading the comedy entertainment team. We already have plans to work with him again and I wish him well for the future.  Given Peter’s decision I have decided to streamline the entry point for indies and bring entertainment at ITV under one senior commissioner as a single team and Shu Greene will be stepping up to this role as Head of Entertainment.”
