Elstree Studios is looking for Non-Executive Directors

Elstree Film and TV Studios is an arms length enterprise wholly owned by Hertsmere Borough Council. Situated at Elstree Borehamwood it has a 90 year record of being one of the the UKs most successful film and television studios.

The studio has been home, in recent years, to a number of highly acclaimed Film and TV productions including “ The Crown”, “ Strictly Come Dancing”, “The Kings Speech” and “Paddington”. The Board is currently composed of Hertsmere councillors. As the Studios prepares for  the next stage of its development it wishes to recruit Non Executive Directors to ensure the Board stays in tune with a rapidly changing industry and is reflective of the skills , talent and diversity present within the industry. The Studios has also been considering expanding its estate and re-configuring the existing site to meet the demands of Film and TV production alongside the innovations of modern technology. We are looking for you to bring your industry experience, a fresh perspective, knowledge and expertise to help guide us on the next step of an exciting journey.
 
The Elstree Studios Board meets once a month. The Board is chaired by Cllr Morris Bright MBE, the Managing Director is Roger Morris and the council Shareholder is its Chief Executive Dr Donald Graham. We hope you will wish to join us and become part of our success story, help us develop our long-term strategy and be as committed as we are to ensuring that Elstree Film and TV Studios remains part of the fabric and essence of the British media industry. We are not offering an enormous fee for becoming an NED but rather hope you will be inspired by a commitment borne by your many years’ experience, passion, commitment and solid experience from within the industry to give something back to a public enterprise that is unique within the British Isles.

Your submission should include a short CV, no more than 2 sides of A4. A panel appraisal process will take place for those short-listed. 



The panel will consist of the Shareholder, the Chairman and the Managing Director, assisted by the Council’s Head of HR. Reasonable travel expenses and a modest fee would be paid to the successful individuals.
