How leading independent production companies and technology experts are delivering file-based workflow
The next FREE to attend Televisual Roadshow seminar takes place at the ITV studios in Manchester on the 1st September. The FREE seminar is all about file-based (or tapeless) production workflow with an overview and explanation of formats, cameras and what happens in post with the majority of the seminar looking at how leading production executives are embracing this new way of working. The Roadshow seminars predominantly comprise case studies of current television productions with differing budgets, broadcasters and needs. All of our production experts have successfully embraced file-based workflow and none would go back to using tape.
Mark Bos, Production Executive at Talkback Thames explains how he's used a number of formats including XDCAM HD and XDCAM EX to deliver Escape to the Country and Grand Designs as well as looking at other planning and workflow imperatives that the new ways of working create. Production Manager Emma Riley looks at how Mentorn produced the new Sky One Series An Idiot Abroad (also known as the Seven Wonders of the World) with Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant using a number of formats including XDCAM HD and EX. While John Harris of root6 offers a comprehensive overview of formats and options in acquisition and post while showing how to plan for post and what happens when you get there.
All of our production experts have differing ways of fulfilling the production (and even different terminology!) and combined should provide many take home “what to” and “what not to do” nuggets of mission critical information. It is surely only through seeing how others work and their variety of approaches that you in turn can look at your own methodologies with fresh eyes.
Attendees are expected to be heads of production, producers, directors, production managers and senior operators and others tasked with delivering the production.
The FREE to attend seminar are all three hours in length and takes place at 9.45am on Wednesday 1st September and is repeated in the afternoon at 2.15pm. |
