“We’ve had a successful year delivering a raft of post production content for a range of customers – from EastEnders and promos for Red Bee to I Can Cook, 10 O’Clock Live and Watchdog,” says Clive Hodge, head of digital media services. “We’ve also just won full post on this year’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.”
When it comes to technology trends, Hodge echoes the points raised by the rest of the post sector: “Tapeless workflows are increasingly becoming the norm, making media management an important consideration for our clients, who rely on workflow design expertise.” BBC Studios and Post Production invested heavily in the last year on a new ‘media hub’ facility, “providing centrally managed and highly scalable systems for global file delivery, transcoding, media storage, duplication, library digitisation and file-based quality check,” says Hodge.
