Boutique vfx studio Lola, which set up at the start of the noughties, focuses on vfx for TV. Its credits over the last year include the BBC’s vfx-heavy two-part Richard Hammond fronted Journey to… series. 2011 has been “OK – the first half was quieter than the second half,” says md Grahame Andrew. A key challenge has been dealing with clients’ increasingly demanding expectations. “Clients expect more; more shots, more content, more complexity, with budgets the same or sometimes less”.
