Rival has weathered the downturn in the UK market through “a good mix of UK and international production and sales,” says md Howard Myers. He reckons the past year has been the indie’s best ever with new commissions from Discovery/TLC, Disney and Sky. A new entrant to the Production 100, Rival was set up in 2007 by Myers and Steve Wynne, the former international production heads of Buena Vista and Warner Bros respectively.
