Zodiak launches Being Human social media game

Zodiak Active, the digital arm of Zodiak Media Group, has launched a social media game based on its hit BBC3 drama Being Human.

Available globally on Facebook, the game immerses players into their own Being Human world where they control the fortunes of a flat-sharing vampire, ghost and werewolf as they face challenges of their supernatural incarnations while attempting to maintain a normal life in the real world.

The game has been developed and written with Being Human creator Toby Whithouse and producer Touchpaper Television and, unlike many other social games linked to TV formats, uses screenwriters from the show itself to create storylines and dialogue within the game.

Zodiak Active created the Being Human game with social games company Utinni Games. It is available to play without charge, but players can enhance their gameplay experience through purchasing in-game virtual goods.

Rob Pursey, md of Touchpaper Television, said: “The game takes Being Human into a whole new dimension. It's been a genuine creative collaboration with Zodiak Active, so I'm confident that fans of the show will really warm to it.”
