Welsh/ Spanish feature co-production Panda Eyes, starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers (The Tudors, Velvet Goldmine) and Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark, Game of Thrones) begins shooting in Cardiff this month.

The new feature, from Rainy Day Films and Tornasol Films, has been adapted from the novel Another Me by Cathy MacPhail, a supernatural thriller which centres on a schoolgirl who begins to suspect she may have a double.

Isabel Coixet (My Life Without Me, The Secret Life of Words, Elegy, Map of the Sounds of Tokyo) has written the screenplay and will direct. She has said that the feature is highly influenced by the Japanese terror film The Ring.

The action is set in Wales and Alicante and the shoot in Spain is scheduled to begin mid January.
Producers are Mariela Besuievski, Nicole Carmen-Davis and Rebekah Gilbertson for Rainy Day Films.
