Sutcliffe brought in to develop CPL's growing slate

CPL Productions has brought Lynn Sutcliffe on board as development director as it expands its slate of entertainment, factual entertainment and comedy commissions.

Sutcliffe, who is currently head of development at RDF Television, will report to Murray Boland, CPL's creative director.
As well as increasing CPL’s originated programming, especially returning series, Sutcliffe’s will focus on the company’s first look deal with Red Arrow, which gives the company access to a range of  formats including NBC’s Off Their Rockers and ABC’s The Taste.

Sutcliffe joins CPL having spent the last six years at RDF Television during which time she was responsible for hit entertainment shows including Don’t Forget the Lyrics, Wogan’s Perfect Recall and ITV1’s new hit series Tipping Point.
Before this, she spent seven years at the BBC where she was a member of the team responsible for a wide range of entertainment programmes including The Weakest Link, Dog Eat Dog and Friends Like These.  As Head of Format Factory at the BBC she was responsible for developing formats for the international market, with The Weakest Link being sold to 98 countries worldwide and she was personally responsible for bringing The Apprentice format into the BBC.

"CPL is a dynamic company that has really grown over the last few years and I’m very excited about being part of their further expansion and success. I’ve worked with Murray in the past and know that we creatively click.”
in the UK, CPL's output covers primetime entertainment, comedy and factual entertainment, with shows including Sky1HD’s A League of Their Own.
The senior management team of Danielle Lux, Murray Boland, Heather Hampson and Janet Oakes will be joined by Lynn Sutcliffe from 10th September 2012
