Freelance post production talent agency Soho Editors is to expand its crewing offering to production clients with a new arm called Soho Crew.
Soho Crew launches this month. Soho Editors is working Dan Smith of Boutique Production Services on the new offshoot. Smith has 18 years production experience in the UK film industry and has been running a production service company for the last five years for international productions shooting in the UK.

Brian Cantwell, md, Soho Editors said “We are very happy to be working with such a professional with years of top level production expertise here in the UK, and Worldwide. After nearly 20 years in the business, we have decided to bring our experience and professionalism to the production side of the business. We have been working with production companies for years and over that time we have been asked why we don’t operate in the production space, and we felt the timing is right to do it now!
In addition to Smith, Emma Parker who has over five years’ experience working with Soho’s freelancers and clients will join the team.
Soho Crew is actively recruiting production freelancers for future client work including Directors, DOP’s, Lighting Cameramen, Shooting PD’s, Camera Assistants, Grip Dept, Sound Recordists, Lighting Crew, Make-Up Artists and Producer/Editors. CV / showreels should go to production@sohoeditors.com.
