Kate Robson, formerly head of operations, Broadcast UK at Prime Focus, has joined Halo Film & Drama as director of operations.

Experienced in drama post workflows, acquisition formats and data management, at Prime Focus Robson oversaw the day to day operational needs across broadcast, as well as assisting clients during production to ensure projects ran smoothly.

Robson joined Prime Focus in June 2011 as part of a specialist team brought in to boost the company’s high-end drama output.

She was previously head of operations at Pepper, and also worked for Scramble as head of machine room and in technical operations at The Sanctuary.

At Prime Focus Robson developed automated data management service Rapta, that ingested rushes captured on set and created and stored back up copies optimised for post.

The system has been used on a range of drama including Hartswood Films’ Sherlock.

Prime Focus has promoted James Cregeen to head of operations to replace Robson.

Cregeen will oversee workflows, Rapta, project management and staffing for the Prime Focus post production team.

Prime Focus group head of operations Andrew Condie said: “Cregeen has been key to building our operational services thus far and has a strong vision for our future growth.”

Greg Mitchell also returns to Prime Focus in the new role of operations manager in Content Services.

Working alongside Cregeen, Mitchell will support the digital media, restoration and QC services, as well as AS-11 file delivery.

Recently Prime Focus World's creative services vfx arm merged with Double Negative to create what it claims to be "the world’s largest independent VFX, stereo conversion and animation company”.
