Nutopia hires McKeown from Love to head development

Nutopia has hired Simon McKeown as head of development.


McKeown comes from Love Productions, producers of Make Bradford British and The Great British Bake Off, where he has been head of development. His credits include How Sherlock Changed The World for PBS, Why Don’t You Speak English for Channel 4 and The People Watchers for BBC.

Nutopia recently announced Terror in the Desert, a one hour drama-documentary special bydirector Bruce Goodison (Our War) which will detail the real story behind the terrorist attack on the In Amenas gas facility in Algeria for Channel 4 and PBS and How We Got To Now a six-part series which will explore the power and legacy of great ideas, fronted by US author Steven Johnson, for BBC and PBS, which will transmit next year.

Nutopia is based in Washington and London, best known as creators of the ‘mega doc’ history series, with the 12-part  series, America The Story of Us for History, The British for Sky Television, Mankind The Story of All of Us for History and How We Invented The World for Discovery Networks International.
