North One Television has agreed a five-year deal with BT Sport to produce its MotoGP coverage.

BT Sport acquired the FIM MotoGP World Championship rights from Dorna Sports earlier this year and North One Television worked alongside them to create an editorial plan.

Details of the coverage and the on-screen team will be unveiled in the new year but North One ceo Neil Duncanson describes the approach as "pretty ground breaking…We don’t want to give anything away just yet, but it would be fair to say that MotoGP fans will not have seen anything like this."

North One Television, part of all3media, has extensive experience in the field, having covered Formula One and the World Rally Championships.

MotoGP will launch on BT Sport in March 2014 and the first race will be in Qatar on March 23.
