Mytherapy shootout: F65 v Red Epic v Black Magic Cinecamera

Digital colour correction studio Mytherapy is comparing the Sony F65, the Red Epic and the Black Magic Cinema Camera. The results of its grading test will be revealed next week, on October 25th.



This teaser film by Sprat TV, shows how Mytherapy has set up a high-end fashion shoot, featuring models with lighter and darker skin tones, to see how the different cameras capture the images. The test involves an on-set grade, testing the workflows to see how the footage stands up in post production.

A separate camera shootout, which pitches the Blackmagic Cinema Camera and the Canon 5D Mk III in a head-to-head battle, was recently completed by production outfit One River Media. The company put both cameras through an extensive set of tests and detailed the results in the excellent film below. To summarise, the Blackmagic Cinema Camera came out on top in virtually all the criteria examined in One River Media's shootout.
