Vfx house Method Studios has opened its new London facility on Meard Street.
Method Studios, which has offices in LA, Vancouver, New York, Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Sydney and Melbourne, has relocated from its Wardour Street shared space within Deluxe 142 to a purpose built studio.
A recent project for Warner Bros saw Method as the lead vfx house on Cloud Atlas, completing over 400 shots across its London, Vancouver and LA offices. It has also worked on Seven Psychopaths, Wrath of the Titans, the soon to be released Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Snowpiercer and the George Clooney directed feature The Monuments Men. A local project involving a smaller sized production for Method London is Sunshine on Leith for DNA Films, which is due for release later this year.
Led by Drew Jones, vp Method Studios London, the UK based operation opened in 2010 and has organically grown from an original small satellite team, to a larger crew capable of scaling upwithin the new facility space.
“We are delighted to have secured the Meard Street location which meets our growth needs and will deliver greater flexibility and access to a deeper pool of local talent," says Jones. “We believe that in a challenging market, our boutique and artist driven approach coupled with our ability to access Method’s global talent pool is a compelling and creative option for both local and international clients and we are looking forward to continued growth through 2013.”
Method Studios is part of Deluxe’s Creative Services Group, a group of facilities including Company 3, Beast, Deluxe New York, EFILM, Encore, Level 3 Post, Method Studios, Rushes and StereoD.
