Mentorn Media has appointed Bernie Kay to the newly created role of head of factual.
 
Kay has joined Mentorn from ITN Productions, where she was appointed in 2015 as an executive producer to help grow the popular factual slate, spearheading the company’s move into daytime formats, celebrity travelogues and young presenter-led documentary series.
 
She won commissions and executive produced programmes including BBC One returning daytime format Going Back, Giving Back, Channel 4 feature series Big Ben: World’s Most Famous Clock and the Frankie Boyle BBC Two travelogue series, Frankie Goes to Russia.
 
Before joining ITN Productions, Kay worked at production companies including Endemol, Shine and RDF Television.

At Mentorn, Kay is briefed bolster the company’s slate of talent led projects, factual entertainment formats and documentaries.

Mentorn’s credits include Question Time (BBC), Paradise Hotel (Fox), and Traffic Cops (Channel 5).
