Tinopolis-owned Mentorn Media has appointed Paul Hughes as Head of Development.

Hughes will lead the development team with a focus on returnable factual entertainment and entertainment content for both the UK and the international market.

Celia Taylor, Managing Director of Mentorn, said: “Paul has an infectious passion for making great shows and is bursting with ideas, so he’s the perfect fit for Mentorn’s talented development team. We already have a number of exciting new projects in the pipeline and are in active discussions with both US and UK broadcast partners, so now’s the time to further build on those relationships to make brilliant shows audiences will fall in love with.”

Hughes joined Mentorn last year as Senior Development Producer and has held development roles at Zig Zag, Two Four, the BBC and Remarkable Productions, working across entertainment and factual entertainment shows.

Mentorn’s current shows range from BBC Two’s Robot Wars and Question Time to Channel 5’s Traffic Cops.
