Layla Smith takes over from Andrew Newman as Objective ceo

All3Media’s Objective Productions has appointed Layla Smith as new Chief Executive Officer as Andrew Newman moves on from the role after six years.

Smith joins Objective having been MD at John Stanley Productions since 2013, prior to which she spent 15 years at ITV with seven years as Controller of Entertainment. Smith will lead Objective both in the UK and the US.

Stuart Duthie, Commercial and Finance Director at Objective Productions since 2006 has been promoted to be the Managing Director.

Newman will hand over to the new CEO while continuing to oversee several current Objective productions to completion over the Autumn including the latest series of Peep Show, Fresh Meat, Bad Robots and the BAFTA award winning comedy Toast of London.
