Keo agrees joint venture with Field Day

Keo Films has formed a joint venture with new indie production company Field Day to create arts, factual entertainment, history and lifestyle programming. 

Launched by Sally Angel, Field Day will form part of Keo Films and will develop and produce programming for TV, theatric and digital platforms.  Other appointments are expected to be announced shortly.

Angel’s most recent production was the Cinema Documentary Night Will Fall, directed by Andre Singer, telling the story of the film shot when the Allies liberated the concentration camps in 1945.

Angel devised and launched a number of returning series for the BBC, including One Foot in the Past, House Detectives and TV Heroes and was part of the team to set up the BBC’s Archive Unit.

She has also devised and made soft-formatted history and heritage series for UKTV, ITV and History. 

She has held a number of senior management posts at the BBC, including Commercial Channels Manager for BBC Production, Channel Development Executive for BBC Broadcast and Commissioning Editor for BBC Choice/3. 

Keo’s recent credits include Skint for C4, Hugh’s War on Waste for BBC One, The Romanians Are Coming for Channel 4 and Excluded: Kicked Out of School for BBC Three.
