Karen Elliott has been named VP, Music Production, Warner Bros. Pictures

The appointment was announced by Paul Broucek, President, Music, Warner Bros. Pictures.  Based in London, Elliott will report to Broucek, who is based in Burbank.

In her new role, Elliott will be responsible for coordinating all music production and music licensing for theatrical releases filmed in the UK, including at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden.  Elliott will be charged with helping “retool and formalise the music department’s budgeting process for its entire release slate.”  Elliott will work closely with Broucek and the music team in Burbank to support all Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema releases, while building the music division’s profile in the UK.

“Music is so impactful in movies, and Karen has incredible taste and an impeccable track record working in all facets of film music,” said Broucek.  “I’ve known and worked with her for over 20 years and have immense respect for her talent.  She’s a great combination of creativity and strategy, and a great addition to our team.”

Prior to joining Warner Bros., Elliott served as Director, Hot House Music Ltd., a full-service music agency which she co-founded in 2002, representing film and TV composers, music supervisors and score coordinators.  Elliott has served as Music Supervisor on a number of Warner Bros. Pictures and New Line Cinema releases, including “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald” (November 2018), “Wonder Woman,” “Justice League,” “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them,” “The Legend of Tarzan,” “The Hobbit” trilogy, and “Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.”  Over the last two decades, Elliott has worked on the music for more than 70 films in roles ranging from music researcher and score coordinator to clearances and music supervisor.
