Halo Post has hired Prime Focus senior sales exec Carle Duthoo as part of its business development team.

Duthoo who has also worked previously at Splice and Air Post  will work alongside head of business development Matt Locke and head of production Will Garbutt.

Garbutt said: “Carle has a wealth of experience in our industry, he knows everybody and is focused and driven.

“Moreover, I like the fact that having cut his teeth in an operations environment, he has seen both sides and has a clear understanding of what is important to a client when choosing a facility.

“Having been a producer myself for many years before working in business development, I know what a significant advantage it gives you to have that technical background and rounded overview as a solid base to build on when developing business relationships.

Halo chief executive John Rogerson added: “Carle is very highly thought of by the people who have worked with him before and has an impressive track record. I’m really looking forward to having him in the team and working closely with him.”

Halo offers  picture and audio post- production to the film and television sector.

Established in 2004, Halo’s past projects have included Paddington, Les MiseŐĀrables (winner of both Bafta and Oscar for best sound) The Missing (Starz/BBC), David Attenborough’s Penguin King (RTS best sound 2012) and Galapagos for Sky 3D, Toast of London for Objective, Outnumbered and Mrs Brown’s Boys for Hat Trick productions.

Great guy, it shows that Halo is on the up. Sounds like it could be another big year for them.
