Film4 is marking 30 years of British filmmaking next month in Film4 at 30, an iPad app bringing together details on over 500 films supported by Channel 4's film arm since its launch in 1982.
Users will be able able to browse titles and view trailers, images, posters, Q&As and film info, as well writer, director and actor video interviews, many of which are exclusive to Film4.
Channel 4 was the first UK broadcaster, through its film arm Film on Four (now known simply as Film4), to develop and co-finance films and to allow these films to play in cinemas before their television transmission on Channel4.
Films include early features from Stephen Frears, Derek Jarman, Ken Loach, Peter Greenaway, Alan Clarke, Neil Jordan, Mike Leigh and Terence Davies, to more recent collaborations with some of these directors and also with the likes of Danny Boyle, Michael Winterbottom, Shane Meadows, Kevin Macdonald, Phyllida Lloyd, Sophie Fiennes, Roger Michell, Jonathan Glazer, Jeremy Lovering, Martin McDonagh, Richard Ayoade, Paddy Considine, Ben Wheatley, Peter Strickland and Bart Layton.
