The Creative Cities Convention is inviting cities to bid to host the convention in 2020.

The two-day event features talks and debates with a focus on future growth of the digital media industry.

For the upcoming 2019 convention, Cardiff, Bristol and Glasgow made bids with Cardiff ultimately being chosen to host the 2019 convention. Cardiff’s bid was produced by Cardiff Council and major local independent production company Boom.

Ruth Pitt, director of CCC comments, “This is a fantastic opportunity for independent producers or local authorities keen to bring the conversation around British broadcasting and production to their city.  It’s a chance for any interested city to promote their creative media sector and bring some of the top talent in the industry right to their doorstep. We want to visit a different city each year so we can dig deep into the big issues that concern content producers and distributors, whoever and wherever they are.”
