Clear Cut Pictures has bought Station Post’s Bloomsbury Street facility bringing its total number of editing suites to 60 across the two W1 sites.

The Station Post facility is housed across three Grade II listed buildings just off Bedford Square and will give Clear Cut an additional 22 large edit suites and offices for production.

Located at 46 Bloomsbury Street, the facility will be refurbished under Clear Cut’s management.

Clear Cut’s managing director Scott Holmgren said: “Our clients have been crying out for us to increase our offering in W1, and this purchase means we can both increase the client base, whilst also taking on more projects both in number and scale.”

Station Post managing director Phill Clarke added: “For personal reasons this is the right time for us to sell, and we’re delighted that Clear Cut Pictures is the company that is taking over.  We know that under their banner, this facility will grow and go from strength to strength."

All of the offline suites will be running Avid Media Composer v6.5 with Mojo DX hardware, enabling online resolution workflows.

Clear Cut now has three facilities including its Shepherds Bush location and will link all three locations with a fibre connection, giving the group a total of 70 ingest stations for overnight bookings.
