Horacio Queiro, ceo of Clear Cut Pictures has invested in digital colour grading studio Mytherapy, forming a strategic partnership.

Created in 2005 by colourist Dado Valentic, Mytherapy was the UK’s first fully functioning data lab and has serviced productions both in the UK and abroad.

Mytherapy provides core services for digital cinematography including on‐set services, data management and transcoding, colour grading and retouching, d‐cinema mastering and stereoscopic 3D post‐ production.

“When I met Dado Valentic I was profoundly impressed by his knowledge of colour, technology and workflows and also by his ethos, “ says Queiro. “It was immediately clear to me that we were complementary in what we did and that combined, we could offer new services in high end finishing unrivalled in this country."

Clear Cut already has 4K finishing capabilities that will now be complemented by the relationship with Mytherapy.”

Mytherapy is known for its innovation in the field of colour science and stereoscopic post. Having formed strong relationships with industry bodies and manufacturers including DaVinci, Adobe and Sony, Mytherapy is in the position of testing new technologies before they are available to  the general market.

Valentic said: “2011 was a huge year for us; our methods of digital image processing gained recognition on an international scale, and we upgraded our facility to allow us to offer full 4K finishing. In the past, our services were only available to a small network of clients, but with this partnership we  can bring  our services to an even greater range of productions. For us, we couldn’t have come across a better partner and the timing is perfect. We both share a big vision for what we can achieve together.

"As a consequence of us joining together, other symbiotic companies are coming on board. More announcements to come."
