Cast announced for Twenty Twelve follow up

The cast has been announced for W1A, John Morton’s follow up to sitcom Twenty Twelve.

The show will follow Hugh Bonneville’s character Ian Fletcher as he leaves his job as head of deliverance for London 2012 and takes on a new role as Head of Values at the BBC.

Ian’s task as Head of Values is to “clarify, define, or re-define the core purpose of the BBC across all its functions and to position it confidently for the future.”

Jessica Hynes will reprise her role as “PR guru” Siobhan Sharpe. Bonneville and Hynes will be joined by Sarah Parish who plays Anna Rampton, Jason Watkins who plays Simon Harwood, Monica Dolan who plays Tracey Pritchard, David Westhead who plays Neil Reid, Nina Sosonya as Lucy Freeman, Rufus Jones as David Wilkes, Hugh Skinner as Will Humphries, Ophelia Lovibond as Izzy Gould, Jonathan Bailey as Jack Patterson, and Max Olesker and Iván Gonzalez play ‡Ben Rosenstern and Jerry Guildencrantz.

The BBC production is exec produced by Jon Plowman.
