Channel 5 is to follow its Big Benefits Row: Live debate show with The Big British Immigration Row: Live.

This week's Big Benefits Row:Live, produced by ITN Productions, pulled in over two million viewers for the channel and an 8.65 per cent share.

The Big British Immigration Row: Live will air a week after the last episode of Channel 4's Benefits Street (pictured), in the same time-slot  -  Monday 17th February at 8pm - and a week after Channel 4's own benefits debate.

The programme will take on a similar format; a live studio debate, where MPs, decision-makers, opinion-formers and immigrants themselves will discuss a subject which is dividing the nation.

Channel 5 director of programming, Ben Frow says, “The success of The Big Benefits Row: Live shows how much people want to talk about these issues and hear a range of views. This is a subject that attracts enormous controversy and with The Big British Immigration Row: Live, Channel 5 is taking the lead on topics that our viewers really care about.”
