Channel 5 has ordered a one-off documentary from back2back Productions that looks at the weird and wonderful ways that people choose to conduct their final goodbye, from aeroplane coffins to ashes being tattooed onto loved ones.

As well as looking at businesses that trade in the afterlife, the production talks to those planning their own bizarre burials, including ceremonies with Citroen 2CV hearses and a funeral in full football kit.
Michelle Chappell, commissioning editor of News, Current Affairs and Documentaries at Channel 5 ordered the film and David Notman-Watt is executive producer for back2back.

Channel 5's head of factual, news and current affairs Andrew O'Connell will be speaking at the speciliast factual commissioning session at the Televisual Factual Festival on 25th October.
