The BBC has announced a raft of new and existing entertainment shows that will be made during the UK’s coronavirus self isolation with many hosts and guests linking together remotely.

New live entertainment show, Peter Crouch: Save Our Summer for BBC1, is fronted by former footballer Peter Crouch and Radio 1’s Maya Jama along with comedian Alex Horne and his band the Horne Section broadcasting live from his studio hub.

“Using the full scope of communication technology” the Fulwell 73 show will remotely bring audiences “live music, replacement sports action, exclusive comedy, celebrity guests, interactive audience fun and VT adventures from all over the country.”

Twenty Twenty is making The Choir: Britain In Lockdown for BBC2 with choirmaster Gareth Malone forming The Great British Home Chorus. The series will follow Malone  as he connects amateurs and professionals all over the country remotely.

So Television’s The Graham Norton Show will also be back on Friday nights with the famous Red Chair relocated to viewers’ own armchairs at home.

The Mash Report from Zeppotron for BBC2 is also back with the whole cast filming themselves at home.

A ‘Glastonbury Experience’ is planned to replace the cancelled Glastonbury Festival in June with “a weekend of the best in music across radio, television and online with amazing performances for you to enjoy in the comfort of your home.”

Eurovision: Come Together, fronted by Graham Norton will broadcast on Saturday 16 May. Produced by BBC Studios the show will feature classic Eurovision performances, a look at what would have been in 2020 and interviews, including this year’s UK entry James Newman.

Hat Trick is also to produce the 59th series of Have I Got News For You with guests and regulars connected remotely. Steph McGovern will be hosting the first show with guests Miles Jupp and Helen Lewis.
