Cardiff-based Gorilla has joined BBC Worldwide’s list of facilities able to carry out quality assurance reports for BBC Worldwide programmes and content.

Any programme or DVD produced for global distribution by BBC Worldwide has to undergo strict quality checks.

With over 53,000 hours of programming in its catalogue, BBC Worldwide distributes to every major territory.

As an approved QAR vendor, Gorilla joins an elite list of facilities houses authorised to carry out the reviews, which cover the technical and content elements required for international distribution and is just one of three such facilities outside of London.

Gorilla will largely be supporting Welsh production companies in their preparation of content for submission to the BBC.

Gorilla md Richard Moss said: “We have prioritised and invested heavily in QC alongside file delivery and are pleased we can now add BBC Worldwide to our list of International Distributors and provide this service to support the growing Welsh production market”.
