BBC Studioworks confirms first bookings for revamped TVC

Strictly Come Dancing’s spin off show, It Takes Two, and chat show, The Jonathan Ross Show, are the first productions to confirm residencies at BBC Studioworks’ revamped studio and post production facilities at Television Centre. 
 

BBC Studioworks is reopening three studios along with post facilities at Television Centre on September 1st. 
 

For BBC Studios’ It Takes Two, BBC Studioworks will provide the production with full studio and technical services at Television Centre between September and December 2017. Comprising of 60 episodes, four live and one recorded show per week, the production will be based in BBC Studioworks’ 3,340 sq ft studio, TC2. 
 

VT content for the show will be edited alongside material for Strictly Come Dancing at BBC Studioworks’ edit village at its sister facility in Elstree, and will be delivered to TC2 via diverse HD Baseband video line connectivity. 
 

It Takes Two will be recorded via BBC Studioworks’ new EVS tapeless recording system. Media will be streamed to a new 180TB Avid Nexis in Elstree. Posterity AS-11 recordings of live transmissions will be processed through a Vidchecker AQC system before being delivered to the BBC Archive. 
 

Hot Sauce and ITV Studios’  The Jonathan Ross Show will be based at TVC’s largest studio, TC1. 

The 12-episode series will record weekly between September and November 2017 in TC1’s 10,800 sq ft space with an audience of up to 600.
