BBC Studios has acquired a minority stake in British scripted drama start-up – Moonage Pictures.
Moonage Pictures was set up earlier this year by a trio of execs behind Peaky Blinders.
The founders are writer, producer and former Commissioning Editor for BBC Drama, Matthew Read, former co-MD of Tiger Aspect Productions, Will Gould, and Frith Tiplady, former co-MD of Tiger Aspect Drama.
Their credits include Ripper Street, The Good Karma Hospital and Fortitude. The trio are currently in production on Curfew (pictured), an eight-part series for Sky One written by Matthew Read and directed by Colm McCarthy.

Moonage Pictures was advised on packaging and documenting the deal by a team led by Michael Brader at Wiggin LLP.
