BBC Studios makes two Entertainment & Music hires

BBC Studios has made two new appointments to its Entertainment & Music team, home to shows including Strictly Come Dancing, Eurovision and Glastonbury.
 
Joe Evans joins as Creative Director - Development, leading development for BBC Studios Entertainment & Music, working closely with Eddie Evelyn-Hall, who joins as Head of Development. Together they will work with the existing creative team to devise new entertainment programmes and formats for UK and international broadcasters and digital platforms.
 
Joe Evans has 18 years’ experience in non-scripted entertainment, reality and comedy entertainment formats. He was previously Director of Development at Tiger Aspect, part of Endemol Shine, where he ran the development team that won commissions including Streetmate for Channel 4 Daytime, Jack Whitehall: Travels With My Father for Netflix and Armchair Detectives for BBC One. His other development credits include Rebound for ITV1 and Break The Safe for BBC One, and his production credits include Coach Trip and Big Brother for Channel 4, Dating in the Dark for Sky Living and So You Think You Can Dance and Prized Apart for BBC One.
 
Eddie Evelyn-Hall joins BBC Studios from Monkey Kingdom, where he was Head of Development, running the development team and creating entertainment and factual entertainment formats for UK and US channels. He was previously Development Executive at Whizz Kid and held Senior Development Producer and Talent Producer roles at Syco Entertainment, collaborating with production companies on existing shows such as The X-Factor, Britain’s Got Talent, La Banda and The Investigator. His production credits include Got to Dance and Pineapple Dance Studios for Sky 1, The Voice UK for BBC One and The X-Factor and Xtra-Factor for ITV1 and ITV2.
