BBC Studios adds two new fact ent execs

BBC Studios has announced two new appointments to its Factual Entertainment and Events team: Kat Lennox as Senior Executive Producer and Seb Curtis as Head of Development.

The genre area is home to shows including Top Gear and Dragons’ Den, as well as events coverage, including The Festival of Remembrance and The Invictus Games.

Kat Lennox was previously an Executive Producer at Boundless, working on a wide range of factual entertainment shows for a variety of broadcasters. Credits through her career include The Week The Landlords Moved In for BBC One, I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here for ITV1, Hotel of Mum and Dad for BBC Three, Love Island and Take Me Out the Gossip for ITV2, Shipwrecked for Channel 4 and Grossbusters for MTV.

Seb Curtis joins BBC Studios from Voltage TV where he was a Development Executive Producer since 2015, primarily working across factual entertainment and documentary slates, developing everything from competitive entertainment formats such as The Big Family Cooking Showdown for BBC Two to access documentaries. Prior to 2015 he was a Development Executive Producer at Boundless, where credits included An Hour to Save Your Life and Normal for Norfolk for BBC Two, Slumming It for Channel 4 and Class of '92 for cinematic release.

Seb Curtis said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the team at this exciting time for BBC Studios and look forward to developing new factual entertainment programme ideas and returnable formats that captivate and move audiences for all the broadcasters."
