Avid has released a new version of its broadcast graphics authoring software 4Designer

The new version has new graphics features and workflow improvements “enabling users to create captivating real-time graphics more quickly and efficiently than ever before.”

4Designer is used to create on-air graphics, virtual studios, channel branding, sports enhancements, video walls, and interactivity.

Here’s the list of new features from Avid

4Designer can now render scenes to a variety of broadcast video standards including DNxHD, MPEG2 and XDCAM, as well as image sequences in PNG / TGA and JPEG. Allowing artists to send their designs for production approval helps improve their turnaround time for new graphic content.

The extended Adobe Photoshop importer now supports separate text and vector layers, giving artists the ability utilize more pre-production content in their workflow, while preserving the stations brand identity

The ability to quickly and easily create and customize high-quality bar charts using a wide range of pre-made elements. With these editable elements, users can quickly update charts as data or needs change.

A wide range of user-requested features, improvements, and fixes that enable users to create real-time graphics faster and more easily.
