Sound design and audio post-production company, Wave is in the process of building a new facility in New York .

The company currently has offices in London and Amsterdam and the New York office will start with two sound design and mixing suites supported by producers and technicians with a mix of London and New York talent.

The new studios will be “in the heart of Manhattan” and will open in early Summer 2018. New kit will include two Dolby certified mixing suites, running Avid S6 desks.

Wave co founder Warren Hamilton said: “At Wave we don’t like sitting still. Having scoured coast to coast and given it much chin scratching time, New York seemed the logical and perfect place to kick start the next instalment of the Wave adventure. New York is not just an amazing city with so much going on in the advertising and audio post sector, it also has lots of our friends there in various guises of production life. Plus we have native New York clients from the agency world, so opening in the city makes perfect sense for everyone. Despite working for US agencies at the moment, the awkwardness of distance won’t be an issue come next Summer.”

Co founder Johnnie Burn said: “Delivering on the ambitions of our amazing team, further facilitating existing clients overseas, reaching a wider audience, and tapping into a market brimming with creativity right now. Our expansion into New York is a very exciting development for us, plus it’ll be a laugh.”
